Anubid warrior

This is illustration for Simon Kay, my good friend and patron. "Kynekhepaloi warrior" is based on his fantasy lore and designs (you can see them on the left in video) from world building project - Maps of Ashfort by Simon.

I started painting this picture last year using a different technique than I use now and unfortunately I lost an old recording of the process. I haven't painted in two months now, so my technique is a bit rusty.

In other bad news, someone hacked into my cell phone and computer and I lost access to many of my stuff. I'm working on a fix now. I'm upset that I didn't get to devote more time and space to the painting than I wanted to. It deserved to be done better. Simon is a great world builder and his world is extremely complex. There are many species of these Keneskophaloi warriors with rich lore.

And a little spoiler, I'm working on a new mysterious civilization for my unKnown world.
