History / Ötzi

I have watched a documentary by Dan Davis about Ötzi - man from the ice. (highly recommend it)
And that inspired me to draw this prehistoric man.
We know quite a lot about Ötzi, but who was?

I can partially answer that:
He was a defender.
Main goal of every man since the beginning of times is to protect his life, his family, his tribe and his country with any necessary means.

This picture is not portrait of Ötzi, but something I was planning for my book. Altough I would like to do one illustration about Ötzi last moments.

This bronze age "defender" holding type of early bronze axe and have some sort of Gaelic clothing, bronze bracelets and cooper dagger.
