Punic wars: Iberians

Third part of project:
Warriors of the Punic Wars

The Iberians were one of the best warriors of the Punic Wars. They fought both on the Carthaginian side, as well as on the Roman side or against them and even with each other.

According to their sword - Falcata - the Roman sword Gladius Hispaniensis was created.

Livi and Polybios describe Iberians as a great swordsman in shiny white tunics with red edges.
They divided in two types according to their shields - Scutari (Scutum - Heavy infantry) and Caetri (Caetra -Light infantry).
