Almaran Chieftain (Rise of the Atlanteans)

This illustration depicts an Almaran chieftain from my worldbuilding project, unKnown World of Ída. The Almarans are a fierce and territorial tribe known for their primal connection with nature, hunting, and combat. They dwell in the deep forests of the Known World, leading their people in raids, border skirmishes, and blood feuds.

The Almarans are skilled warriors, often fighting with throwing spears, modified axes, and short knives, favoring ambushes and guerrilla tactics in their forest homeland. They disdain armor, relying instead on agility and their knowledge of the land. Their chieftains, adorned with trophies of their victories, serve as the heart of their clans, guiding their warriors to both glory and defeat.

In this artwork, I aimed to capture the raw, untamed spirit of the Almaran culture and their distinctive fighting style, which draws heavily from their environment and their wild, unrefined way of life.
