I am currently working on the Silurian warriors. The Silurians play a significant role in an unKnown world in the later age, especially in the story of Godfrey's rebellion, as they are the rebels who rose against the Umbrians. From the beginning, I envisioned my fantasy Silurians as akin to Vikings or Saxons during their invasion of Britain. The story was meant to be an alternative fantasy history reflecting the Arthurian period and the Norman Conquest of England in the 11th century. The original inspiration for this story came to me while reading The Warlord Chronicles by Bernard Cornwell. When I then added another part of the world and story - Akvila conquest, I imagined the ancestors of these Silurians as British Celts, which should have some historical continuity. What I enjoy the most is blending real historical cultures with others with a sprinkle of fantasy. And what particularly challenges me is how to maintain the continuity of original ideas and character designs with new ones. Sometimes I have to make significant compromises to good ideas because, in terms of world-building, it wouldn't make sense for a new character, in terms of equipment and colors, to look completely different from the previous one.I created the first design of the Silurian rebels in December 2021. It was one of my first posts on Instagram. Since then and throughout the development, much has changed. In the pictures, you can see three phases of development.
