Part 1: prelude

King Thark Akvila spent two years gathering armies. Intensively train heavy cavalry and infantry to march against the last free city of Vultera.

Tharkvilonians allied themselves with the tribes of Almarians, who had been raiding Vultaran estates for years.

Rheans had long been on the side of Tharka Akvila, because he had won them by marrying a high-born Rhean lady, with whom he had the princess Rhea.

Akuila continued to call in auxiliary corps of slingers of Goat folk from the Eagle Mountain and light infantry from the land of Nahari.

But even the Vulterans didn't stay calm. They formed a coalition with the northern city of Prygy. Vultera also called Argos for help. However, the Argives refused in the interest of maintaining neutrality, since they would not be able to hold alone against Tharkan army by themselves. Moreover, Argos had business relations with Tharkans.

Vultera recruited many levies and merceneries from the surrounding cities and also hired barbarian Silurians to join their side.

After these preparations, Thark Akvila marched into the last decisive battle of his campaign - to the Battle of Vultera. 💪🤓
